INTERGNERATIONAL OPEN MIC - Generations united

The creation of an intergenerational open mic event series, "Kochi Spotlight - Generations United," aimed at fostering community engagement, celebrating diverse talents, and promoting age-friendly initiatives in Kochi. The event will be organized every first Sunday of the month, starting in November 2024, at Subhash Park and other public spaces in the city. The project is a collaborative effort between CEDAC, a division of MAGICS NGO, and various partner organizations, including Cochin Kalabhavan, Schools, Colleges, University of Third Age (U3A), Neo Film School (GeriArt), and senior citizens organizations.

Project Goals

• Promote age-friendly initiatives - Age-Friendly Parks: Contribute to the Age-Friendly Kochi City initiative by creating inclusive and accessible events that benefit individuals of all ages.
• Foster community engagement: Create a welcoming and inclusive space for individuals of all ages to connect, share experiences, and build relationships.
• Celebrate diverse talents: Provide a platform for individuals of all ages to showcase their talents and be recognized for their contributions.
• Raise awareness: Increase awareness of ageism and promote positive attitudes towards aging.
